Thanks all. I will keep that in mind
As for the strike thank God i wont be there by that time
My hubby suggested renting a car. Will it help us cutting the cost
Out trip initially starts with Madrid (ticket was cheaper)
Then we will be visiting southern cities. Maybe give a visit to Marbella. Wanna see the beaches and get to see this famous city.
Later go to Barcelona and stay there. The last stop will be at Madrid again to get back home. (Cheapest ticket available )
Because of our budget we postponed Potro. I checked Lisbon tickets and they were not cheap so maybe again we go to Canary and Porto (after a year or 2)

Thank you all. Really appreciate ur help

Which famous city? Surely not Marbella? Just got to know which country you come from where Marbella is seen this way??

Agree with bilboburgler re Marbella. Used to be for the rich & famous but those days are long gone. Puerto Banus has a pretty marina but that's about it. Beaches are really nothing special in or around Marbella.

If you ever decide to go to Italy, there is an outlet mall outside of Florence.

Hi bilboburgler
I'm from Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Marbella used to be a hot famous place for rich people (let's say 10 years ago)

MyriamC
Puerto Banus sounds good. I can go there before heading back to Barcelona

Thanks. We already bought the ticket to Spain, Yaaay

jada, ahh, make sense, yes Marebella used to be where Saudi royals went with their much younger PAs and Northern European gangsters used to party the night away. Not really the sort of place Europe is proud of

Most of these people seem to have moved onto northern Sardinia now. But you will still find the accents of Medina and East London abound.

Marbella is now full of (wealthy) Russians. Saudis have indeed moved to Sardinia, Porto Cervo more particular.

JADA2016

I have been observing that SAUDI AIRLINE has been offering very good and low fares to MADRID. The same happened last year as well and i am wishing that the same happens for MAY 2016 as i am planning a vacation in SPAIN & ITALY

Any reasons for this from Saudi Airline for Madrid

This information comes from what I've seen and experienced in both Marbella (last year) and Porto Cervo (this year).
Just google 'Marbella' and 'Russians' and see for yourself ...

Well to be honest. I tried almost evey website for flight booking and I never thought of Saudi Airlines till eariler this week.
The price was reasonable (Riyadh To Barcelona to be specific)
I don't know the reason but I guess that happens because it's not a hot season for travelling. Let's say that most Saudi families travel within these months ( July-August) which are school vacation here for those with kids

Hope you find a good flight with a good price.

In terms of prices, Spain is much cheaper than Italy, especially Madrid and Seville. However if you haven't already been to Italy, you should go there first.

In 10 days I would suggest one of the following plans:

1-Rome (4 days) Florence (3 days) Venice (3 days)

2-Madrid (4 days including a daytrip to Toledo)
Seville (4 days including a daytrip to Cordoba)
Granada (2 days)

3-Madrid (5 days) Barcelona (5 days)
