Spain. (Madrid, Barcelona, Seville)

Hello,

Hello

I am coming from NYC and netting my friend in Madrid and then we will go to silvera, then I want to go to Barcelona

Does that make sense?

Thank you

What is Silvera? do you mean Seville?

How much time do you have? How will you travel - plane, train, car?

And no - it doesn't make sense to land in the middle, then go south and then north.

If you're not stuck with tickets into and out of Madrid I would fly into Barcelona, see that then head to Madrid, then Seville - and fly home from Malaga (through Madrid or London) rather than backtracking.

Yes nytraveler.. I meant Seville (sorry)

well- here is the thought.... my friend wants to meet me in Madrid on April 21-24 then take the train to seville.... and then he needs to go back to london on the 26... But I thought as long as I am in Spain, I should go to Barcelona.... should I go to Barcelona before madrid?

Aduchamp1- I have about 10 days

With 10 days I think you have enough time to do 3, although it will obviously not be in depth. You could maybe stay an extra day in Sevilla and then fly to Barcelona, and then hopefully fly home from there. Vueling has low cost flights between Sevilla and Barcelona.

Cruiseluv- what about a train??? what would make the most sense- should i start my trip in Barcelno and end in Sevilla?

cruiseluv Dec 12th, 2010 07:21 PM

Yes, actually, there is fast AVE train between Sevilla and Barcelona, takes around 5.5 hrs. It's expensive , unless you are able to get one of the reduced internet rates. Unfortunately, buying train tickets at the Renfe website is a frustarting endeavor, many people are not able to do so unless you have a European CC. website is www.renfe.es
I thought you wanted to start your trip in Madrid to meet your friend. I would end my trip where it's easy to fly back home.

If i want to do Madrid, Sevilla and Bacelona, in what order should I do it>?? Thank you Cruiseluv

would it make better sense to fly into Barcelona, take the train Madrid to Seville, then train to Madrid/NYC

NYC-Madrid-Seville-Barcelona-NYC doesnt make sense does it... ?

cruiseluv Dec 13th, 2010 08:01 PM

To me it makes more sense your last alternative : NYC- Mad- Sevilla (on Ave)- Barcelona (on Ave or plane)- NYC. Could you fly out of Newark? Continental has nonstops to Madrid and Barcelona from Newark.

bjc280 Dec 23rd, 2010 12:01 PM

Yes I could fly out of Madrid- But isnt barcelno the most north--- isnt sevilla and barcelona like 5+ hours away from eachother (isnt madrid and sevilla only 2+)
