Spain in May - questions
Couple of quick questions since we're leaving on May 12th for a busy 10 day tour from Barcelona to Granada. Should we prebook tickets for the Sagrada Familia? Second question, we are taking the train from Barcelona to Seville and wondered if I should prebook the train tickets through Renfe and if so what train stations are involved? Also, what is the best way to get to Granada from Seville? I did this trip in 2016 and I'm pretty sure we ended up on the return trip taking the bus from Granada to Madrid. Is this the fastest way? Thank you

I'd prebook train to Seville as prices go up and they do sell out. We took bus from Granada and it was fine.

You should totally pre book Sagrada Familia. There are always long lines and prebooking lets you avoid the lines. And it is an amazing church - totally unique and beautiful; not to be missed.

Thank you for the advice. I booked immediately and am sure the price has gone up since I last looked - but got the seats!

Makes a great deal of sense. Booked the tickets for later in the day when it's a hopefully a bit cooler. Thank you

Just make sure to look at weather reports before packing. |
Yes! Thank you, checking daily.

Any suggestions?
We are traveling to BCN in a few weeks also as my daughter is studying abroad. I will buy the tickets to Sagrada Familia as suggested! (Thanks!) However, any other tips/suggestions? We are only there for 3 days before traveling to Gijon and Madrid. Hope your trip is going well!

@Lodgermom
Just one tip for Gijón. Head to Sidrería Román (Asturian ciderhouse). Have a bottle of cheap 'sidra' (sweet cider) and order one 'cachopo' (breaded beefsteak with cheese). Address: Marqués de Casa Valdés 6, near the San Lorenzo beach. |
Thanks for the advice on Gijon!
