Hi Leaving in 2 weeks with 20yo daughter for Spain. We have 10 days .. arrive Barcelona leave from Madrid. Dont see any festivals etc at this time... Thinking of Toledo, Segovia,
Cordoba, Seville, Escorial etc
as side trips.. First timers!!
Dont know what to do especially dont know what weather is like then??
Seems easy to get hotel..

Semana Santa, Holy Week, begins on the 28th, that's why there are hotel rooms available in mid-March this year, but you need to make your reservations now as prices go up the closer it gets to the start of Semana Santa.

10 days is not enough time to do all that. Spain is a huge country. We were in Spain last October. Our trip was for 11 days, including 2 travel days, so we had 9 days for sightseeing. We spent 5 days in Barcelona, then rented a car & drove up the Costa Brava & to Girona for a 3 night/4day side trip. If you don't mind seeing 2 big cities, then I recommend splitting your time between Barcelona & Madrid, & you could do 1 or 2 side trips from Madrid, perhaps to Toledo and/or Segovia. I am not a Spain expert, but I don't see how you could possibly fit in Cordoba & Seville. There are experts on this board who I'm sure will chime in.

Also, things to consider are your interests, such as museums, history, culture, scenery, seaside, mountains.

I agree 10 days is not enough time. Since you have already booked your tickets I would split it between Barcelona and Madrid. I would do daytrips from Madrid to Toledo or Segovia or Avila, not all of them. If you can change tickets I would have focused on Madrid, Seville and Granada.

I agree with Egbert. Your flights and the fact that you only have 10 days is a perfect fit for a Madrid & Barcelona trip.
