Spain hotels/apartments
 

Late August trip to Spain. Thinking Madrid and Barcelona for now. Wondering if anyone has specific lodging recommendations in either city.

What is your budget (in euros)? How many people?

Looking for under 150E per night. 2 people (wife and I).

We were very happy with this apartment in Madrid for a week:

The small agency has several apartments and they were excellent to deal with. We chose this one and were glad we did.

I stayed in a good apt in Barcelona..The real plus was the location and the fact that although advertized as a studio, it was more like a one bedroom. The agency is Loving Barcelona..the apt was Calders...It has AC.

We also stayed at a "Loving Barcelona" apt a few years back and have sent many others there since. Ours was "Parallel 1111". The cost runs about 85E$ and is well situated if you don't mind a subway ride.

We will be in Madrid next week and will post the results of our stay there when we return.
