Spain - beach in late May?

Hi - we are thinking about going to Spain in late May - 4 days to relax in either Marbella area or Mallorca and then 3 days in Bilbao. I'm concerned about the weather in Mallorca vs. Marbella and what the avg temperatures are in both places the last week in May.

In Marbella - we are considering the Hotel Villa Padierna or Hotel Puente Romano.

In Mallorca - I am still looking at places...

Any help would be appreciated.

We spent a week in Nerja, about an hour east of Marbella, at the end of May last year. Daytime temperatures were in the 70s; 50's at night. After the morning fog cleared, it was delightful beach weather. The Med was crystal clear, but water temperature was "bracing" about 66 degrees Farenheit as I recall.

Thanks for the input. The temperatures you note are what I've seen on temperature charts - probably in the mid/upper 70s in South of Spain.

We can switch around our trip to do Bilbao first and then the beach, which would put us into very early June.

Anyone for weather in Mallorca then?

We were near Marbella at the end of April and it was high 70's low 80s during the day. Eveyone was using the hotel pool and the we found the sea quite comfrotable (but then we're used to the North Atlantic).

Mallorca is usually in the last seventies and early eighties during May. It can get higher approaching the peak summer months.
