SPAIN - airport into Barcelona
Is it best to take the train (then a taxi to our accommodations) or a taxi or a car service?
Any idea on the costs of these? Thanks for any help. |
Where is your hotel located?

Where is your hotel?
How many of you are there?? How much luggage will you have? Are you able to haul it around easily or would you prefer help handling it? The answer depends on so many variables. |
Based on your other post on the location of the apartment, it will be about 25-30E for a cab from the airport. If you have a lot of stuff (and on a 17-day trip, you likely will), then a cab will be easier.

We are seasoned packers, so we each have only one suitcase (yep...for 26 days) and once backpack, so we can get around. I saw there is a green shuttle to take us from Terminal 1 around to the train....I think the stop at Passeig de Gracias is close to the apartment we have rented. So....do you think train? or cab?
Thanks for the help. We love Spain....been often, but not to Barcelona. Thought it was time to spread out wings. |
You can take the bus to Placa Catalunya ....better than train IMO.

<<better than train IMO>>
Why? Traffic on the highways can suck rocks. M64: If you're relatively hale and the map says you'll be close to your apt, take the train instead of the cab. We took a cab because we herded a pile of luggage and two miniature people who look like my wife. |
One has to take a bus from T2 to the train station at the airport, then at Sants central train station change to Metro...
We have always taken a taxi with no problems with traffic. |
If you're arriving at the airport after a long overnight flight, then for me it's a no-brainer. Get a cab-no hassle and to the door.
If you're flying from a closer destination, same answer. |
