I would also skip Valencia. I would do 3 nights in Barcelona, drive through the Pyrenees, spend 4 nights in San Sebastian, then drive the coast to Santander, spending a night in Lekeitio and or Santillana del Mar. Come to think of it I would skip Barcelona and just enjoy the North coast, especially San Sebastian.
