Spain - Driving from Salamanca to Seville with overnight stop over
How long (hours)is the drive from Salamanca to Seville assuming we do not go through Madrid? We would like to drive from Salamanca and stop in either Caceres, Trujillo, or Merida for one night before driving to Seville. We would also appreciate any thoughts you have regarding Caceres, Trujillo, or Merida.
Thanks in advance for you help.

The drive is not under 6 hours. There are several nice stops along the way, but for spending the night, the obvious choice is Caceres. For more information on the cities, there have been several posts already, but I suggest you post this question under other title.

Cáceres is about the halfway point, 3 hours south of Salamanca. I'd suggest staying in the Parador, which is located in the Old City. You’ll be there early enough to explore and enjoy the city. The best restaurant in the city, and still listed as one of the top 10 restaurants in Spain, is Atrio, Avenida de España, 30 bloque 4, a short walk from the Parador.
