Spa Hotels in Rome

I am taking my mother to Rome for her 80th birthday, and I am looking for a luxury hotel that has spa facilities. Does anyone have any suggestions?

There may be others with spas, but the Hotel de Russie is top of the line in the city right now, and does have spa facilities.
http://www.rfhotels.com/italy/rome/d...otels_spa.html

twenj

Thanks, Ed....I will check it out...any idea of the price I should be paying at that time of year?

Rita, check out the Fiuggi Palace right outside of Rome. It's an amazing true-to-the-word spa hotel. Unfortunately, I don't have the website right here, so I'll try to get back and let you know.

We stayed a week last year at the Rome Hilton. It is on a hill overlooking Rome and St. Peter's in the Vatican.

The spa facilities are first class, decorated to look like a Roman Villa.

The breakfast buffet was the best we have had in Europe, lots of fresh fruit and healthy choices (or eggs, Italian ham and pancakes).

There is van service often to take you to the city center.

Rita,

Since you can afford staying at a luxury hotel, the De Russie is the best choice, also because of its wonderful location, at Piazza del Popolo, in the historic quarter of Rome. You'll have best of both worlds, location and the spa services you look for. Believe me, I know the hotel, and Rome quite well. Go for it and you won't regret.

Surlok
