Southern train and Oysterpass

We're returning a car to Gatwick Airport after a week in the country. . We need to get to Barry House, which is near Hyde Park and Paddington Station. We are three adults.

From what I've gathered, we should take the Southern train to Victoria Station, then the Tube to Paddington. We will be hitting all the touristy spots, so our other Tube destinations should be centralized, right?

We arrive on Sunday afternoon and depart at Heathrow at noon on Wednesday. That really only gives us two full days in London. What kind of pass should we get?

For 3 adults, I'd suggest:

2 of you get the Oyster PAYG (Pay as you go) when you arrive at Victoria. Load each one with around £17 - whatever amount you don't use up, you can either save that for next trip, or return the Oyster at Heathrow's tube station for a refund.

The 3rd adult should:
1) Also get an Oyster PAYG @ Victoria station. Load about £6 onto it. Use it for Sunday and Wednesday ONLY.

2) For Monday and Tuesday, buy a daily paper travelcard. Then you can utilize it for any attractions that offer the 2-for-1 deals on those 2 days.

Can the Oyster PAYG be used to get to Heathrow?

1) Yes, use the Oyster PAYG for all 3 of you to get to Heathrow on Wed. You can then return the Oyster for the refund.

Two more thoughts:

1) The £ amt I suggested above for loading, is based on the assumption that you are only taking one trip on the tube on Sunday (Victoria -> Paddington). If you are going to take more than 1 trip on the tube on that Sunday, add a few more £ on the initial loading. You can see the fares for Oyster rides here (pages 5 & 7)

2) If you want to visit 2-for-1 sites on Sunday, your arrival day, you can use your Southern railway tickets as qualifiers.
