Southern Spain/Madrid in June

I know it's going to be hot in Andalucía but my question is, does it cool off in the evenings where I might want a light jacket or sweater?

chapla Jun 11th, 2013 12:16 PM

Hi. We just got back from Madrid and Sevilla and the weather was perfect-hi 60s to mid 70s. Will post my report soon.

It gets hotter and hotter in the evening after the sun goes down?

Fascinating.......

This is mid-June and the temperature in Sevilla is currently 64F/18C at 6:00 am, hardly oppressive. On Saturday the high is supposed to be 100F, but it will cool down somewhat in the evening. It's not the same in late July through early September.

Hotter and hotter as the summer progresses and maybe cools off a few degrees at night duh..........
ditto for Madrid,a few degrees cooler but just not good for walking.
You will see people staying to the shady side of streets!

Europe is experiencing atypical weather, colder and wetter than usual for some countries and hotter and drier for others. Take a light wrap just in case.

Madrid is already in the 90's and Sevilla is too!
A couple of years ago I decided I could not stand the heat in Spain from June to September and now enjoy my travels in May and October. I get to see/do so much more.
If you don't have any choice in your travel dates then remeber to get going early in the day, take a siesta during the hottest part of the day, drink lots of water and venture out when the sun has set!

YOu don't really intend to travel anywhere in June without at least a sweater, do you? I wouldn't go anywhere that way, including Florida or Mexico. I don't know if you are male or female, I suspect male, as females can have a variety of sweaters for spring/summer that are lightweight compared to some big heavy thing you'd wear in winter. Maybe men don't. If you wear a tank top or sleeveless blouse, often you'd want to also have a lightweight thin cotton sweater with you, it can even be cool in some inside venues.
