Southern portugal/southern Spain 7 days -- itinerary help!
 

We're planning a week in southern portugal and southern Spain in may. We'll probably fly into Lisbon. What should we do? How long should we spend where?

I take it this is for 2014. 7 days doesn't give you a lot of time. I would stick to Lisbon and the Algarve.

I don't know where you're flying from, but Faro is the airport on the Algarve. Unless you intend spending time in Lisbon, you'll waste a day in transferring.

As Robert2533 says, a week isn't long enough to do both Portugal and Spain, so decide which you want to see and plan accordingly. If Spain then the airport is Malaga.

I guess one week will not be enough you need more time. One week is sufficient for Morocco travel vacations.

A week is definately too short to do it with reason. If possible, I'd fly into Faro, get a rental car, stay two nights in Carvoeiro/Ferragudo, with Praia da Marinha, Praia dos Caneiros around, check out Alvor in transit to Lagos, spend a night or two in Lagos, travel up the west-coast, stopping here and there depending on your interests and spend the rest of the time in Lisbon.

Who knows? You don't state why you're going there in the first place and when you're visiting. And a week is a short time period.
