South of France - 2 weeks, suggestions?
My wife and I are strongly considering going to France for 3 weeks in June/early July. Will fly into and out of Paris and therefore will spend a few days on either end in Paris. We will then spend the balance in the south of France. We would like to move around and stay in a few different places during this period and would very much welcome any suggestions. The area we would like to see is between Monaco and Avignon. Thanks in advance.

Rather than split Paris into 2 segments, fly into Nice and out of Paris, or vice versa. Known as multicity or open jaw, it will allow you more time in each area. You would then only need to take the train once between areas. We are doing this in October. Train fares are really reasonable, too. Get your plane tickets ASAP, there are sales now and prices will likely go up sooner rather than later.

My wife & I have vacationed for 34 weeks in Provence & the Cote d'Azur. I developed a 27 page itinerary that describes our favorite cities, villages, sites, scenic drives, markets, etc. I've sent it to over 2,000 people on Fodors. E-mail me at [email protected] if you would like a coopy & I'll attach one to the reply e-mail.
