(sigh) webcam is still under repair .... come on, Antonello and Luisa Maresca, we're eagerly awaiting for this to be back up & running !!!
FYI, as per the Slow Travel site, the Marescas run the Sorrento Tourist Information office, website and webcam.

I too am dissapointed in the Sorrento WebCam since it has been back online. Small and not clear enough. So who is going to go to Sorrento and have this problem taken care of? SeaUrchin..how about you?

LoveItaly, we will be there in July. Will that be soon enough for you? I will climb up to the little balcony and straighten the camera out and maybe move it to the ceramic shop across the street so it will be closer to the tabacchi shop. I'm sure no one there will mind at all if I adjust it.
And, in case it is working while I am doing this, you can all watch the event. My husband could go TT online next to the tabacchi shop and you could tell me if it is straight and close enough to see a better picture and he can shout directions to me across the street. I think this might work! If anyone is going sooner they could give this plan a try.

I have been meaning to ask..first there was just the pink ribbon and then more ribbons were added. But I have found the webcam hasn't worked real well the last couple of days..has anyone else had a problem with it?
I can only imagine that the ribbons are strung up in preperation for a Saints Day celebration, but I really don't know. I hope someone does.

Princess, it is funny you should say that. Because of your post I clicked on the webcame and the picture is quite large!!! No activity in the small piazza of course as it is early morning there. But the picture was fantastic, and the ribbons are still streched across the piazza..hope we get to find out what the festivities are.
