The little ceremic store next to the tabacci store seems to be going under some renovation. Does anyone know more about this?

Hello SeaUrchin, I noticed that myself last week when I visited Sorrento via the web cam. I have no idea what is happening. Aren't you (I ask jealously) going to Italy soon? You can check it out if you are in the area and let us know.

We are not going to Italy and France this year which has been our summer vacation plan for the last few years. This year we are trying someplace new to us - Portugal. We are looking forward to it but I have a feeling I will miss Italy a little bit.

Hi, I'm still kicking! I will be in Rome in March and I might go down to Sorrento for a day, if so I will check out this latest happening. Maybe someone else will be by the webcam in the meantime. Wasn't it last year that we were wondering about the flags?

Yes, he was doing some painting a couple of days ago, but now it seems he stopped his "redecoration" - I haven't seen him recently

What happened to our 'tabacchi guy'? Gone on holiday? There's some note on the door, but we can't read it...

Maybe someone could go up to the little balcony where the camera is and straighten it out, please.

SeaUrchin, could you do that if you get there on your trip?

Just clicked on the webcam and noticed alot of people milling around so early in the morning. Walked away for a minute and came back to see a procession for Good Friday, I assume. This is so neat..

Hi Ischu, yes thanks to Fransesco's other post we saw the procession.

Tomorrow about 7:30pm (Good Friday)Italian time there will be another one. This time everyone will be wearing black robes instead of the white robes.

I was just reading Slowtrav's explanation of the web came. It is owned by the Internet Cafe on the square and they have opening a B&B in the same building. (The camera is on the owner's balcony!)

It must have slipped down. I don't like it either but people are much more easily identified so we may spot friends.
