My husband and I just returned from 7 weeks in Europe, with one week in Sorrento. I also am addicted to this webcam, and have it running 24/7. I found the address before I went this trip, found the small square, ran and called my sister (3:00 in CA), and then we ran back over there and waved, danced, etc. My sister said it made her day!!!

I have some photos. If you go to www.msnusers.com/sorrentowebcam you will find 5 pictures. The first two you will recognize. The third one is the english pub to the right of the tabacchi as you are looking at it--the 4th photo is the camera on the balcony and the fifth photo is the deli/wine bar to the left of the tabacchi.

We were there in June and stood and waved to all of our family and friends--as we had been gone for a while they were all excited to see us. It was quite fun.

Cece, super! At first I couldn't even recognize the place until saw the Tabacchi... and flowerbeds - they're so big! It's so unusual to see the same things from the other angle

Sigrid, can we see your photos on the web, or you'll keep them for personal use???

yes, of course you can see them...will try to get round to doing it soon!
Just look at the little square now...it's all sad and deserted now that the holiday season is over.

cece, I went to mnsusers web site but could not get the fotos. What do I click ? By the way, I was one of the first to discover "THEE MANHOLE COVER" when on a Radisson cruise a few years ago. Observers at home captured me photographing the camera !!!

Hi, I am right beneath the web cam right now at the internet cafe. It is lightly raining and the ceramic shop was closed when I came here in today, but like I wrote the other day I spoke to the owner and the owner of the tabacci shop too. The ceramic shop fellow was intrigued that we are all watching him. The manhole cover and the new cemented cobblestone are there so you know where to step to be seen!

Neviboy,

Just go to www.msnusers.com/sorrentowebcam and click on pictures on the left hand side--there are five pictures of the webcam site.

Just curious: why are the stores closed at 4 p.m. on a Tuesday?

The stores seem to be open now, Jim. A bit rainy tonight in our favorite piazza.

Cece, I love your pics!! it makes it so much more real.

One day I'll get there.
I've been a lurker and just wanted to say hi.

well, the forecast is for more rain until Friday. I'd still rather be there than here, though!
