Sorrento Train Station

I'm trying to get the times for trains going from Naples to Sorrento and then from Sorrento to Rome. When I type "Sorrento" in the trenitalia site, it changes the name to "Sorrento Mare." I guess that is the right name for the station, but I just want to corroborate with you here.

I'm not buying the tickets but I want to have an idea of the traveling time, and the B&B's in Sorrento and Rome are asking for the arrival time.

Thanks for your help. Rosangely

Take a look at the Circumvesuviana schedules for trains Naples/Sorrento:

Use the Trenitalia site for Naples/Rome.

That is very helpful. Thanks. So, if I go, to the trenitalia site, can I see the timetables for other regions? That's the kind of information that i need.

Again, Thank you.

Hi E,

Trenitalia (the italian national railway) doesn't go to Sorrento.

You take the Circumvesuviana - a private railroad.

Yes.

Thanks, Ira. Now I get it. I was scratching my head trying to understand the results of my futile searches in trenitalia for Sorrento.
