Sorrento-Ravello-Rome
We will be travelling from Rome to Sorrento by bus. I am pretty sure we can get a bus from Sorrento to Ravello but does anyone know if it goes all the way or do we have to change at Amalfi? Also is there a bus from Ravello to Rome? Many thanks.

Im quite sure you have to change buses at Amalfi to get up to Ravello.
Very much doubt there is a bus from Ravello to Rome - its a very small place. One recommendation I have seen on this board is to get down to Salerno and catch a train northward. You can take a boat or SITA bus from Amalfi to Salerno. Hope you can get a more definitive answer on this, though.

Hi Peter -
For bus timetables Sorrento-Amalfi see:

Amalfi-Ravello:
http://www.sitabus.it/sitabus/campan...COCOSTIERA.pdf
[Are you staying in Sorrento or Ravello? If the latter it's quicker to go via Salerno].
For your return journey your quickest route is ferry to Salerno, then train.
Ferry timetables:

Trains timetables:

If you especially want to retun to Rome by bus there is an Amalfi-Rome service via Sorrento once daily in high season (- operator: Marozzi) - but it takes 5 hrs +

Hope this helps ...

Hi P,

I suggest the SITA bus to Ravello via Amalfi.
Then SITA bus to Salerno via Amalfi and train from Salerno to Rome.
Train schedules are at www.trenitalia.com/en/index.html
