Sorrento Luxury Hotel?

Staying 2 nights in Sorrento for our honeymoon after getting married in Florence. Would like an upscale hotel with sea views and a pool and maybe a nice restaurant. Considering the following. Would love some honest feedback on these or others I may have missed. Thanks in advance!

Bellevue Syrene
Grand Hotel Excelsior Vittoria
Hotel Tramontano
Hotel Belair

We've stayed at the Bellevue Syrene, but this was before a relatively recent renovation. I really dislike the new decor, but the location of the hotel is great, the views are wonderful, and I liked all the small outdoor corners we found to just sit and enjoy. I don't think it has a pool, but I believe there is an elevator down to a water-level sun deck.

The Hotel Tramontano (practically next door to the Syrene) has the traditional decor I prefer, a nice pool area and lovely grounds. It would probably be my first choice if we returned to Sorrento.

The GH Excelsior Vittoria is outside my budget in this lifetime, and I'm sure it's lovely. But does it have a pool?

I don't know the Belair.

If you want opulence, luxury and to treat yourselves, then Grand Hotel Excelsior Vittoria wins hands down!

The setting is spectacular, the gardens beautiful, the location is very central but still private, and yes they do have a pool. They also have a lot of other facilities and services for guests which are just delightful - spa, private boat, cycling, sailing. As with some of the other hotels mentioned above, they have a private elevator down to the port to catch hydrofoils and ferries to Capri, etc.

Would be my pick after a wedding in Florence - best of both worlds!

I would second Grand Hotel Excelsior Vittoria. Stayed there several years ago; loved the location, the grounds, the interior, our room with two balconies, the wonderful views.
Nice breakfast in a beautiful dining room. Nice staff.

Well, I think the most romantic hotels for honeymooners in Sorrento are Bellevue Syrene and Minervetta.
Especially Bellevue has an incredible Suite with private pool, restaurant on terrace and free amenities as a buffet with snacks and drinks, beach and mini pool with jets...
Have a good choice!

Unfortunately I waited too late and the GH Excelsior Vittoria is booked the 2 nights we are in Sorrento. Sigh...

I'll check into the others you all suggested. Thanks.

Sorry it's too lae. We have stayed at the GHEV twice and it really is a great property. Being right in the center of town - but surrounded by a fantastic garden with pool - and still set on the top of the cliff overlooking the Bay of Naples is a great situation.

I expect we will use it again when we get back to Sorrento. (And we found the prices when we go - late May - are usually discounted.)

That's a shame about the Excelsior being booked. As a second, and still very good choice, go for the Bellevue Syrene as suggested. Hope you get it!

Wow, an overwhelming positive response for GH Exelsior. I WAS able to book it on their website (as opposed to hotels.com or travelocity).

We'll be staying two nights at the Grand Hotel Excelsior Vittoria for our honeymoon. SO excited.

Thanks so much everyone!!

I think you will love it. It is beautiful. Make sure you find the elevator on the terrace behind the hotel; I just happened onto it. It will take you down through the cliff rock to the water.
