Sorrento hotels
We have rented a villa near Sorrento, but will need to stay in a hotel in the area for our last two nights due to travel arrangements. Does anyone have any suggestions for a small, elegant, charming, reasonably priced hotel with quality accommodations and good views? Does anyone have any info on the Hotel Capo La Gala?

I'm not saying this is a particularly charming hotel, but it does have a very nice view. The Hotel Villa Maria is on Via Capo, 8 near the hospital. We had a balcony with a spectacular view of the Bay of Naples and Vesuvius. The staff was very pleasant and the rooms were pretty sparse. It cost about $120. for 3 of us. You may want to do a search for Sorrento hotels on this board for other ideas. Good Luck.

Hotel Il Nido.

Visit their site: www.ilnido.it

Rates are very good, the hotel has had great reviews. And their service is unbeatable.

Absolutely loved the Minerva. High on the cliff directly over the bay, so spectacular views. Plus, it is truly a lovely hotel and in your price range.

Thanks Sandi, Dina and Joyce - checking out your suggestions. What about Sorrento's Cocumella or Hotel Capo La Gala? Anyone out there know about them?

Capodimonte - like something out of a James Bond film.

Our travel agent just suggested Hotel Cocumella. Anyone know anything about this hotel? It sounds a bit pricey.

We stayed at the Hotel Bristol and recommend it. It has a rooftop pool and large outdoor lounge with a terrific view. The rooms are fairly large and parking is provided (and easy to access).
