sorrento hotel suggestions needed
 

we will be travelling back to sorrento september 2-6 for 4 nights. we would like a hotel room with a:<BR> private bath,<BR>air-conditioning,<BR>a swimming pool<BR>non-smoking and<BR> a nice view. <BR>all in the heart of sorrento. <BR>we are considering the central,ambasciatori and have been to the excelsior. we would like to keep the costs at about 225 euros.<BR><BR>we have searched the web-sites and would like some special information from all of you at the fodors talk forum.<BR><BR>jim and camille

Jim and Camille,<BR>more or less, only three hotels in Sorrento could satisfy all your requirements.<BR>They are: GRAND HOTEL CAPODIMONTE, IMPERIAL TRAMONTANO and GRAND HOTEL RIVIERA.<BR>You'd reserve soon, I suggest you.<BR>Have a nice trip.

We stayed in the Hotel Minerva in Sorrento. Ask for a sea-view room. One of the best views around. Fax request: 081-878-1949. Rooms are wonderful. A Db room as around $120 in 2001. Via Capo 30.

stayed at tranmontano and had a wonderful view, great breakfasts, etc. the staff was not particularly friendly, but we didn't care
