Son moving to Prague

My son is attending Charles University and I am here helping him furnish his apartment in Prague 2. Any advice where to do this besides Ikea? ( We need linen, kitchen stuff, some furniture )
I do not want spend too much and I prefer going to max one or two stores but would like to support local versus Ikea. Thank you , Dorte

You might try to find second hand shops. These are becoming more common in Europe.

Is moving, or has moved?

There's no virtue in that, despite your predilections. First, Ikea will provide better quality and usability than most of its competitors and do so at a better price with an economy of scale that minimizes waste and maximizes efficient use of resources. Second, Ikea provides jobs to Czechs and tax revenue to the Czech Republic both in the form of taxes it pays and the taxes its employees pay.
