Something good to say about volareweb.com

Everyone (self included) tends to be quick to post info when a business or someone screws us over so I'm happy to be able to tell you about something nice a company did. Volareweb.com, despite stating in print all over their website and their e-tickets that their tickets are non-refundable, just refunded my tickets. In February I had booked flights from Venice to Prague and Prague to Milan for my trip next July. Then a couple of weeks ago I got an email from them saying there was a schedule change. My daytime flights had been changed and now one was arriving after 10pm and the other at 2am! There was no way I could work around those times - no public transportation to my hotels, one of the hotels not having check-in after 8pm, etc. I was annoyed but figured that's what you get when you buy cheap tickets and assumed I was out the money. Well, I called them anyway and they very nicely told me they were sorry about the change and they would refund my money. Since I've never actually flown with them I can't speak to the rest of their service, but I will certainly check them out first the next time I need flights on a route they fly.

Hi Isabel,
Thanks for taking the time to update us. We are flying with them from Naples to Venice in May.
Bravo to both you and them.
Regards,
Pete

At least they know about goodwill. It's too bad the major airlines don't have this policy. I think some do have a refund policy for death or sickness of a family member but only for certain tickets.
