Now I understand, thank you! :) Your alternative suggestions sound wonderful. I really like the idea of walking over the Bridge and along the Southbank. Kensington Gardens sounds awesome, too. Janisj, you're a Star!
Do you think the rest of it is ok? |
Aw shucks =; thanks
The rest looks pretty good -- Tuesday is busy but you knew that. I'd personally rearrange Tues just a little bit. Tower first thing in the AM, sometime between 12:30 and 1PM (probably closer to 1:00 - especially if you eat lunch at the Tower) leave the Tower and walk across Tower Bridge. Then along the south side of the river as far as the Globe and Tate Modern. Then walk across the bridge and up to St Paul's. As long as you arrive at the cathedral by 2:30 (or 3PM at the latest) you'd have PLENTY oftime to see it. And you'd probably even have time to go inside the Globe and/or Tate Modern. But if you are running late - you can just peek at the outsides and walk over to St Paul's. This is a lot of walking but isn't a frazzled itinerary at all and you could in one of the riverside pubs/restaurants for a drink/refresher. |
Once again, thank you, Janisj. I told my husband last night that there are some really nice people on the internet and I meant you!
I like your rearragement of Tuesday; I had thought about it but was scared to miss St. Paul's. I'm feeling so much better about London now. It seems more manageable now that I have a plan and I can focus on getting excited since it's only 6+ weeks away! |
