some Irish cell phone info

Hello
I will be traveling in Ireland September of this year. I will arrive at
Dublin Airport September 22, at about 12 noon. I will depart Dublin Airport
September 29, in the afternoon. I am interested in renting a mobile phone
for the duration of my trip, with pick up on the 22nd and return on the
phone the 28th. Please advise me of the following:

1. Rental cost for the term indicated
The Rental cost for 1 week is ?44.50

2. Cost of calls or available calling (pre-paid minutes) packages
Phones come with 0.00 credit in them.
Call credit can be ordered in either ?10.00, ?20.00, ?25.39 or ?40.00 cards.
Calls cost ?0.63 per minute from 7am o 6pm and ?0.19 per minute 6pm to 7am Monday to Friday and from Midnight Friday to Midnight Sunday ?0.13.
Calls to UK ?0.95 at all times.
3. Manner in "recharging" the minutes in the event I would use them up
before the rental period is over
Whatever minutes are used are paid for i.e. is you bought ?20.00 and the phone came back with ?5.00 then you would be charged ?15.00
4. Pick up points for phone (can it be picked up at airport upon arrival)
The most convenient place of delivery wh have found for customers is the hotel/Bed & Breakfast that they are signing into.
5. Usefulness of the phone in the rural areas of Ireland (how many areas are
lacking in coverage?)
There is 98% coverage in Ireland, most Rural areas have a good reception, areas where the reception is still not available are mainly in the mountainios areas of Irelandt

By the way, the ? in the above was the Euro symbol in the cell phone provider's original reply....

this phone business is so screwed up thanks to the piggish American companies that want to have their own standards and not be up to speed with the rest of the world......I guess that is why Sprint can continue to lay off thousands and thousands yet continue to pay their CEO Easy Money Esrey his mutli-million dollar salary...what has he done to improve the cell phone usage of the world? HUH? Nothing that is what

Bill (Easy Money) Esrey Mar 20th, 2002 11:05 AM

I resemble that remark and I am not going to take it....guess I will go out and axe a few more jobs...I need a new BMW 7 Series for the wife so the bonus I get for slashing salaries will help buy it.....heee heee heee
