So, we've all had good and bad experiences around that area.
If you must know what put me off on the two occassions - it was firstly the worst dried up, nothing much on top pizza. My friend and I were on a budget so couldn't possibly think of ordering something else.
The next time we were pestered to enter a certain place for their 3 course budget menu.
What followed was watery soup, a chicken/cockerel's thigh & drumstick(all in one) that had been simply taken out of the display counter and deep fried.
Besides being tough as old boots, the darn thing still had all the scales on it's leg! Some chickens have yellow scales - this one had black scales which looked awful. Frites were the accompaniment, and the only thing that kept us from jumping up and running out the door was a piece of pie for dessert!

Most tourists don't realize that the Louvre is open until 9:00pm at night and at this time of year should be lit by candlelight in the evenings.
