Solo traveler

I'm new to this service so please excuse any lapses in protocol (and call them to my attention). I'm late getting started but will be in Paris 11/2 - 11/4 and would enjoy meeting a dining companion who appreciates a great meal, good conversation and fine wine. Is this the right place to be looking? If not, can you suggest another? Thanks , Achasd.

I think this Europe Forum is probably the best place for your inquiry. There is also a Solo Forum - but this one gets the most action. Try the other one, too - and have a great trip!

It's the right place on Fodors, I'd say (except folks are going to say you haven't enough info in your post heading).

I'd suggest you look into www.virtualtourist.com and maybe Lonely Planet website also for someone. There is an online website call meetup.com, I wonder if they do Paris? I'd also really suggest craigslist.com for Paris.

You might also take a look at www.intouchtravel.com - a slightly different take on meeting people, but an interesting concept nonetheless.

There's also a brand new service called www.airtroductions.com. It's not necessarily a dating service--it's supposedly for people looking to share a cab or a meal.
