When I'm traveling alone, do I see couples arguing over what to do, where to eat, and feel pity for them? Ah, no (the majority of the time ;) ) Seriously, what would mark you anyway, do you have a flashing neon 'solo traveler' sign on your back?

No, I feel sorry for you because you have nothing better to do than post misleading information on a travel website under a series of assumed identities.

If you really are going to Amsterdam (good of the doctor to let you out for the weekend) then I get the feeling you'll be OK as you are probably used to being on your own.

I went to Amsterdam by myself, and had a good time. Went on a boat tour, and to the Anne Frank house, where I met other solo travelers. No problems at all. Enjoy yourself, and be thankful that you can set your own agenda! :-)
