Sofitel Heathrow Rates

We would really like to stay at the sofitel heathrow on a layover back from italy this june. best rate we can find is about u.s.$234 for a room for two. also really would love to include breakfast just to keep it simple. anyone seen any rates/discounts/coupons around that can push that down and make it affordable for us??

it would just simplify things if we can stay there, as they can't tell us for sure whether our luggage will check through. (if no luggage, then would just go into london for a night.) any tips appreciated!

Rates at the LHR T5 Sofitel tend to be extremely variable, depending on the occupancy that they foresee -- $243 is one of the lower rates I've seen. If price is a significant concern, consider using Priceline for one of the many (equally mediocre) Heathrow area hotels -- I haven't used it in a while, but you used to be able to score them for $60-80, though be sure to also consider the costs and inconvenience of getting to/from them.

Booking.com had the Sofitel T5 for £120 as did lastminute.com( for the Friday night I was looking for in May) that is by far the cheapest I could find and I've looked everywhere.......

People still seem to be getting Priceline hotels at Heathrow under $100 USD per night.

smeagol... was that for one person or for two?

Although not sure if it included breakfast as that isn't a deal breaker for us as we have a mega early flight.

If you have a very early flight I would go ahead and book Sofitel. My hotel of choice for Heathrow is Premier Inn Terminal 5, but that might not be convenient in this situation.

we loved the Sofitel and paid a lot more than what you were quoted. We've stayed at several other hotels at Heathrow and the Sofitel was the nicest. If you are arriving or leaving from Terminal 5, it's very convenient.

I have also on several occasion gotten the Hilton (nr to T5) for £48! That is also a very nice hotel though not as convenient as the Sofitel.......

thanks, smeagol... is this the one listed as 'london heathrow hotel terminal 5'.... is it new? it looks like it's a mile from the terminal... can you tell me what the shuttle costs, and how frequent it is? we actually wanted to go into london center that night for a trip-end dinner... so were hoping to avoid a shuttle, but the prices do look good.

Yes I think that is it, it's about 2. - 3 years old but very very nice ( the Indian restaurant is fabulous there) its often listed on lastminute.com under secrect hotels location Colnbrook. We have stayed there twice and both times the rate has been. Under £50!!!. I don't know how much the Hoppa is as we normally drive from the hotel and have a meet and greet at the airport. ( if you go on the hotel website I am sure it will tell you) it's about. 5 minute drive from the Hilton to T 5. If it works for you I would wholeheartedly recommend this hotel if you get a great deal like we did. ( although i realsie without a car it may not work for everyone)
We are only staying at the Sofitel this time because we have a mega mega early flight and I have gotten a good deal there.
