soccer jersey?
 

I'll only be in Madrid for one day after a 10 day walking tour, but really want to buy a soccer jersey for my son while I'm there. Does Corte Ingles sell acceptable (authentic-looking) jerseys? Any suggestions?

we have a tradition of getting our DS a local t-shirt from everywhere we go, and Madrid was the only place we've ever had any problems. THere were no street vendors of the kind we are all far too used to and we didn't find anything in the bit of Corte Ingles we were in.

however, I just googled REal Madrid merchadise, and found that there is a real madrid shop just off the puerta del sol, towards the gran via. we never went up there, so never saw it. that's probably your best bet.

there was a shop we went past a few times, near the plaza mayor, but couldn't tell you where.

we ended up buying one at the airport.

If you want to buy Real Madrid stuff, go to their shop in the Bernabeu Stadium at Paseo de la Castellana. But I think they also have them (and other teams) at El Corte Ingles.

Remember, official football shirt is quite expensive in Spain. Real Madrid one will set you back 65 euro.

Our friend who lives in Madrid said they are not sold at dept stores and the like.
You can buy them at the stadium on game days and they are about $90 he said.

we bought Real Madrid "baseball" hats at the airport for big Soccer fans here and they like them, but could not lay our hands easily on the jerseys.

Area Real Madrid is the official shop of this team. Adress: Calle del Carmen, 3 (close to Puerta del Sol).

Both the store at the stadium and the Real Madrid store near ECI and north of Puerta del Sol listed by Revulgo are places to get the jersey. Around 80E, and they are authentic.

I bought jerseys for Real Madrid and Barcelona at Cortes Ingles store in the men's department about two weeks ago. They were about 60 euros each. We took the tour of the stadium in Madrid, and they have a store that sells Real Madrid jerseys there also. At the stadium, they will put names on the back while you wait.
