My husband registered "artstuff" with Fodors because that is our e-mail address and the name of my little craft business (I make costume-jewelry pins with authentic mint-condition postage stamps, dating from 1934 through the present).

My husband, B.J., and I both like to visit Fodors, individually and together. We're always reading to each other postings that we discover of interest. I usually do all the posting (B.J. hates to type) so that is why I always sign my given name. Peace.

Robyn

lobo mau means big bad wolf in Portuguese.
I choose it because I feel a lot of affinity with the character.

Oh, I knew Underhill, MISTER Underhill! My ex is a HUGE Tolkien fan. Wouldn't it be funny if you were he? But he usually just goes by Frodo.

Croque_Madame, I've told you this before but I love your name!

I think there are so many great names. But of course I can't think of any right now, but I know them when I see them!!

Now, SCARLETT! Is that because red is your favorite color? Duhhh.

Well my real name is Margaret and depending which language yuo use as a source, it means either Daisy or Pearl. I happen to like Daisy better but since it alone was already taken I added the year of my birth - eeek! now you all know how old I am!

Aja = the best Steely Dan album (IMO) I use it for all my screen names (audio, automobile, travel and other messageboards), 1 because the first time I registered it someone already had it.

It's pretty self explanatory really. Opal was my greyhound who went to the big racetrack in the sky.

I am a free spirit, easy going kind of person and my husband is very conserative and a die-hard Republican. He likes to call me a hippie-communist because of my liberal views. So to combine us, I use Hippirep on almost all of the message board I post on.

Well, my initials are JJ & I'm a huge fan (to a frankly worrying extent at my age)of Scottish football team Celtic, whose nickname is The Bhoys.

Come on the Hoops! (sorry.......)

When at university in the '80s I was the singer in a pretty duff (but good fun) 60's Punk/Psych band.

We used to do covers of songs by The Seeds, Standells, Electric Prunes etc.

Our opening song was always "Dr Do-Good (is here)" by the aforementioned Electric Prunes and it used to go down pretty well.

After a while we changed our name from The Start (pretty naff, huh?) to Dr Do-Good & The Bleedin' Heart Liberals.

So it was I became (Jekyll & Hyde fashion) Dr Do-Good.

We gigged for the best part of three years in St Andrews, Edinburgh, Stirling, Perth and Dundee at university balls, Student Union dances and such like and actually supported a couple of visting (proper) bands. But, when all was said and done we were pretty cr@p! I have it on the good authority of all the erstwhile Bleedin' Heart Liberals that all recordings of the band have now been destroyed. Thank God for that - wouldn't want President Bush accusing people of possesing WMDs!

Dr D.
