With the help of numerous people on this board I successfully visited Aix, Arles and Carcassonne (all by myself!) in January.

Love them! You capture the wintery essence so well. Right now I feel like the man in the middle on the detail of St. Trophime!

I stayed at Hotel du Pont Vieux, but I wouldn't necessarily recommend it. It was fine for me, and cheap, but I think a lot of people might find it tatty--even dismal. I thought it was idiosyncratic and enjoyed it. They have a Weimaraner. I love Weimaraners.
