so confused about hotels
 

Hi all.

I'm going to Paris with my wife in November, and I've narrowed it down to 3 hotels

Paris Hilton arc de Triumphe
hotel Balzac
Napoleon Hotel.

All 3 are fine price wise and location, I'm just wondering which has the most comfortable/largest standard rooms.

Or, I should I be staying in the louvre area?

can anyone offer some advice :)

Definitely Paris Hilton will have the largest most comfortbale "Americanized" rooms. Balzac is better choice than the Napolean. The area is not as central as you think as is decent walk from most sights. Louvre area is more central

One of my favorites is Hotel Bonaparte. Very close in, reasonable, and very French. I like to stay on the courtyard.

Well, Hilton has the most spacious and more comfortable rooms(27m2), although they do not have parisian character. Balzac(20m2?) and Napoleon(25m2?) are 2 very good hotels near the Champs Elysees, but they have smaller and less comfortable rooms than Hilton . If it is your fist time in Paris you should for a hotel Near the Louvre or the Opera(e.g Novotel Les Halles has rooms with sofa for 200euros 28m2, and you can get spacious rooms at the hotel Scribe(superior(26m2 or deluxe(30m2)) for 280-320euros or less with breakfast.)The hotel du Louvre has not very spacious rooms(superior room-18m2-deluxe room-22m2).A good choice would be the hotel Intercontinental Paris if you can find it around 300euros for a superior(27m2) or a deluxe(32m2)room.
If you can afford it, you can get a deluxe room(45m2) at Napoleon for 320euros without breakfast.
But the most Convinient location is a hotel near the louvre, the opera, or the saint-germain-des-pres area(although you have to pay about 400+ to get a spacious room(30m2) there)

THE HOTEL LUTTECIA ON THE LEFT BANK IS BEAUTIFUL AND BIG AND IN A GREAT LOCATION!!

At both the Madison and the Ste-Beuve you can get a spacious room for under 250€. You certainly do not have to spend 400.

Sorry, but when I said the room size for the Hilton, I meant the Hilton Paris(Tour Eiffel), The Hilton Arc De Triomphe has less spacious rooms(24m2?) and is not in a convinient location(a 10-15 min walk from the Champs Elysees) , in an area without many cafes , restaurants and shops nearby!!

Look at the Hotel Cambon, a 4 star hotel between the Concorde square and the Tuileries Gardens. Maybe it could be more appropriate to go into an hotel less Americanised than the Hilton ones...The Hotel Cambon has the luxury that you can imagine coming into Paris and is more "French"...Look at their website: www.hcambon.com!!!
