Snow in November?
We are thinking about taking a trip u to Norway near the end of November. Is there snow up in Lillihammer? Would we be able to sled, toboggan or anything at the former Olympic site?

It really just depends. I was in Lillehammer in the summer and there was still snow on the ground, but I don't know when it generally starts falling. Late November sounds about right, though.

I know there are 2 ski areas you can use, but to my knowledge the toboggan and sledding sites are not for public use aside from athletic training.

Hi... and welcome to the Europe forum (a "place" that some of "us" treat like a second home)... this is offered, sincerely... in the spirit of helpfulness.

Although you are not the first, or only person to post a message with a header like this... it's a common custom here... and courtesy... to include info about your destination in your message header.

Would you please re-post... and mention Norway (or Lillehammer, to be even more specific) in your message header?

If everyone put this kind of message header on their questions, as you have... would be a bit like walking into the library, and seeing shelf after shelf filled with rows and rows of volumes... and on the spine of each one of them, you would see "Just published".

So, please, I>do re-post...

Best wishes,

Thanks, Rev. Will do! I guess thought when I pulled down Norway from the menu that my post would make it's way to a specific forum. Sorry if I confused anyone!

Oops! I meant Rex. Darn glasses don't work well in the AM.

If you don't get a response here, you might try GardKarlsen(his screenname here is gard.) He is from Norway and is very helpful.

It does go into the "Norway forum" - - in the sense that the few people who only click on Norway, see a post like yours selectively. But as far as anyone knows... the vat majority of visitors here just browse ALL the posts on the Europe forum.

That's why Fodors asks all those who post... to mention the destination(s) in the message header. It's a bit obscure... - - in the second paragraph of this "tip" under "Help".
