snorkel on Elba?

Maybe there were some posts in the past but I cannot find them.
Has anyone snorkeled on the island of Elba?
I see there is scuba but was hoping to maybe find a spot you could kick off from shore and check out the fishes
Suggestions?
Thanks in advance for any light you can shed on the subject!

I did a couple of Septembers ago. The water was a bit cool already - a wetsuit top (which my host used) would have been great. The snorkeling can be pretty cool - but it depends on what you are into. There isn't any coral (I don't think - could be off on that), but there are many interesting rocks, crevices, walls, etc. Also, not a huge amount of colorful fish, but there is life, some huge fish, urchins, plant life, octopus, etc. And, you can eat whatever you can catch or spear (of course make sure to follow local laws, etc. and don't hunt in preserves...).

Overall I thought it was pretty good though and would like to do more. We were mostly on the east end and some southern shore spots, both from the boat and beaches.

We also saw a lot of dolphins one day -
