snfc schedule changes

Well I thought I had my June trip planned out and was getting ready to book it. Then I started rechecking some of my train trips and seem to have run into major snafu. I was planning to take the night train from Paris down to Collioure and then onto Barcelona. But when I check the snfc site and the banhoff site the route from Paris to Collioure seems to stop at the end of May. In fact there seems to be no service from Paris to Collioure after the end of May. Anybody here able to shed any light on this? Many thanks!!! SueC1

Hi sue,

Try the folks at www.euraide.com

They might be able to tell you if the train will be discontinued or if it is just that the schedule hasn't been put together.

I just did a random check (on www.sncf.com)for a train from Paris to Collioure on June 4 and it came up with a few options - no problem.

If you are talking about Elipsos services from Paris to Barcelona you can also check at www.elipsos.com

Thanks St. Cirq.

I had looked it up on some other train search engines and it disappeared after May 21.

You are right. There it is, in late June, at http://www.voyages-sncf.com/

SNCF does routinely make schedule changes at the end of May for their summer schedules. Some websites thus don't show schedules for SNCF past May just because they don't have them (Raileurope used to do that).

St. Cirq - well it shows up at first but as you click onward as if you are trying to actually book it, after several screens you hit a red disclaimer say something like "no outbound trains after times indicated" This is on the sncf site - and on the German Banhoff site you can't pull up any trains. What do you think is going on?

The biggest changes in European train schedules now occur in December. The only significant changes in May will be an increase in some services catering for summer holidaymakers. You cannot book more than two months in advance, so look at the end of March for a train at the end of May.

I don't think it's true that you can't book more than two months out. I know you can now even book a PREM fare three months out.

sue, I'd call the SNCF number (from the USA: 011-33-8-92-35-35-39). You can opt for an English-speaking operator.
