SNCF Station at CDG Terminal 2

I'm in the process of booking some TGV tickets online and have the choice of using the self service "Borne" or getting them at the "gare". I've heard nightmares about using the Borne and would like to pick them up at the counter. Does anyone know if there is a SNCF counter at CDG Terminal 2 where I can pick up and pay for my reserved tickets.

If your payment card does not have a smart chip, you can almost certainly not use the machine. But the ticket office is right there next to the machines, and you can pick up and pay for anything there. After all, it <b>is</b> a TGV station, so it would be a bit weird if it did not have a ticket office.

You must pick up the tickets with <b>exactly</b> the same card that you used to reserve the tickets, and that includes the same validity date.

Leave plenty of time between pick up and train - recently in CDG i saw rather long lines at the SNCF ticket counters in CDG 2

And the actual platforms can be confusing - there are two separate sectors so be sure you are waiting in the right half when the TGV rolls in to facilitate leisurely boarding

why not try for PREM tickets that you can print out right at home? I did this for outgoing to Strasbourg and incoming from VIcy to Gare du Lyon without a hitch!! I think we need to prove who we are once on the train to match the name etc on the ticket!! couldnt have been simpler - Dale

I agree with dsevig! I got PREM's for a Sept '09 trip via the SNCF website - great savings plus easy to print your tickets right at home. Just take the tickets with you and proceed directly to your train.

As I recall, PREM's go on sale 3 months prior to your trip.

Also agree with Palenque - make sure you go to the right side of the platforms. If in doubt, just ask at the ticket booth.

It's a train station...of course you can pick up tickets there, but is there a reason you didn't buy PREMs and just print them out?

Palenque's info is very useful. That station often has long lines and I always figure at least a half-hour to wait in them if I'm needing to pick up a ticket (which I mostly don't because of PREMs).

I would love to buy a PREM, but I'm travelling less than a month from now and PREMS aren't popping up on the website. Is there a way to access PREMs or do I just wait for them to come along.
