SNCF: Reservations Number to Call from U.S?
I've made a reservation on SNCF's website but had problems during the transaction and need to contact them by telephone - desperately. Unfortunately, I can't see to find the number anywhere (not even on their website, which I've searched up & down). The one I do have -- 011-22-8-36-35-39 -- does not work (sends me to a French recording saying the number does not exist...). If anyone can help me by sending me the number that can be dialed from U.S., I'd be most appreciative. Thanks in advance!

Thank you very much for your reply. I should have mentioned (in my most recent "repost" that that's the number I dialed this morning. They are helpful but are unfortunately unable to help me w/my problem as I purchased them on internet...(even though I found that number on the website...)You would not happen to have another number? Thanks. (ps - what's "ttt" mean?)

They say that they are unable to deal at all w/my reservation since it was made through the Internet. It's like SNCF and sncf.com are two completely separate entities, according to them (even though I found that very number on their site). Thanks again for your help.

The problem I'm having, specifically, is that I don't feel that the tickets will arrive here on time (although they say leave 7 days for tix. to arrive overseas), b/c when I entered my address, it wouldn't let me change "France" to "USA." Therefore, I am thinking that it's going to be lost in transit somewhere as it is misposted...I don't know. Guess we'll see...

Hi wrep,
A couple of other posters, who also din't want to use the ticketless option, have reported that they did get their tickets in the mail in the US, even though it said "France".
Good luck to you.

Thank you for your reassuring response. My mind has actually just been put at ease, after 48 hrs. of fretting over this ticket business. Have just read on FAQ section of SNCF site that, if I've not received tix before travel, I just need to present my documentation and conf. code to a representative at the station and they will print out for me. I will need to repay for the tickets w/credit card I used initially, but you are reimbursed after filling out a form. We'll see if they arrive before the 5th of August. For now, I'm very relieved. Thank you again to everyone for your helpful advice. I really appreciate it.
