Snakes on Planes

Saw the trailer last night. Movie to be released in August. The trailer was enough for me. Here's a link discussing whether or not it could really happen -

starrsville,

This really happened...on a much smaller scale,(hah!) of course...just read today of a pilot who found a black snake in his cockpit as he was taking off and had to do an unscheduled landing with one hand holding the snake coiled around his arm...

Black snakes rarely attack people unless they are cornered..they usually go after rats and so forth but that information never makes good copy.

If the pilot had crashed would it have been due to "pilot error"???

Intrepid,

Pilot error??? More like pilot terror...!!

It's time.... for the movie anyway!

This movie could never be as alarming of the current coverage of "Terror in the Skies!" and "America on Alert!" on the cable news channels.

good point sera. Some of those graphics alone are ridiculous - they are so obviously aimed at producing fear and tension.

Some years ago I saw a piece on 60 minutes or a similar show about planes in Guam. The airport was overrun with snakes and they were constantly getting into the planes. It was pretty frightening.
