Smoke free Schiphol

From January 1st Schiphol will be a completely smoke free zone.
At the moment smoking is allowed at certain designated places, and some of the refreshment places. In anticipacation of the ban on smoking in hotels, restaurants and cafes, which comes in next July trhoughout the Netherlands, Schiphol have announced that smoking will be banned throughout from 1 January.
Good for us non smokers, hard on smokers transitting through Schiphol though.

What about pot smoking?

PalenQ Nov 9th, 2007 08:09 AM

will it be dog-free as well?

hetismij Nov 9th, 2007 08:59 AM

Schiphol is already dog free officially. I know there are still plenty of dogs to be seen there. I don't know why anyone would take their dog there. My dogs stay at home. The only dogs allowed officially are guide/assistent dogs and those arriving or departing by plane.

Pot smoking will also be banned at Schiphol ;). After July it will still be allowed in coffee shops but not in the room where it is sold.
