Smog at Lake Garda
 

My husband and I are back from 2 weeks in Italy (had to return early due to illness :() <BR>We spent 4 nights in Sirmione on Lake Garda, and while we enjoyed Sirmione very much, we were most disappointed at how smoggy it was. <BR> <BR>Does anyone know if this is typical? When is the best time of year to go to avoid this unfortunate phenomenon? Are there any of the lakes that are more prone (or less prone) to this? <BR> <BR>Thanks in advance for your input. <BR>L <BR>
