Smartwings - discount airline?
 

Has anybody heard of this airline or flown with them? If so , is it a reliable airline?

I haven't flown with them before but I did purchase tickets with them from Milan to Prague for my August trip to Europe. It only costed me about $25. Not a bad deal if u ask me. I hope its reliable though too.

If I'm not mistaken this is a German airline. In that case it will be spotlessly clean and precisely on time.

You are mistaken, they are Czech. Germanwings is - em - German

Oops! Always did get those "-wings" airlines mixed up. Thanks, Alan. All bets are off regarding reliability.

In my own experience with "German airlines" I have found that timely arrival has more to do with airport traffic (in air and on ground) congestion and weather rather than the country of origin.
