Smartfares, cheap flights
 

Is this company reliable? I have noticed that , since looking for a way to travel to Europe next summer without going bankrupt, that their airfares are much cheaper.
Has anyone used this company before?

They do seem to be cheaper by about $200 for a SFO-LON PAR-SFO itinerary.

But I forgot to check if it included taxes, which the other site did.

I checked. With taxes, their fare is $400! more than what I can get elsewhere (unless those prices have also gone up). In general I have the impression that more than $100 differential sounds too good to be true.

Thanks Michael, I feel the same way about it. I need a open jaw ticket from SAT/AMS and FCO/SAT..So far United has the best route, but the fares are so expensive at this moment..

I need to travel the end of May or the first week of June because I travel with my grandaughter.
I took her to Europe many times but I would love for her to see and discover Amsterdam.

i just purchased tickets through smartfares. you don't immiediately get the tickets when you purchase them. my status was pending for 2 days and they went ahead and charged my card without confirming my seats. i tried calling twice. i couldn't get a hold of a live representative until my second call after being placed on hold for over an hour. when the representative finally answered she was extremely rude. meanwhile, i found cheaper fares through farecrawler and flycheapabroad but it was too late. i will definitely not being using smartfares again. it's not worth the hassle and headache.

I was tempted to do business with that company but I had a funny feeling about it.
I am still looking for the right price but perhaps I will have better luck next year, which is approaching very fast.
