Small town near Milan or venice
 

I will be holidaying in Venice for 5 days before taking a flight from Milan to Prague.on Wizz Air...but have 3 days to visit another city before take off. Any suggestions of where to spend these days in a small quaint place close by? Also how reliable is Wizz Air/ since many low cost/ budget airlines are having problems. Thanks.

I dunno about it being 'a small quaint place', but Verona is certainly interesting. Mantova too...

Vicenza is not necessarliy a small place, but it is very nice and the main part is very walkable. U could take the train from Vicenza to visit Verona on one of the your 3 days. This year we will be visiting Bergamo which gets great reveiws as a small town -- at least the upper city is described as small.

I'd visit one of the lakes near Milan (Como or Maggiore), or go up to the Dolomites (Bolzano or Castlerotto) north of Venice.

Go to Stresa on Lago Maggiore which will give you easy access back to Milan for your flight.
