small hotel or b and b in rome...any recommendations?
 

My boyfriend and I are going to Rome in JUne and we are looking for clean comfortable accomodation in a good location without breaking the bank. Any suggestions or advice?

What sort of budget do you have for this? The fact you're going in just a few weeks means you will have many fewer choices.

only going for a week tho. 70-100 euro per night would be ok. happy to pay a but more for the right kind of place

I have stayed at Fellini Inn www.fellinibnb.com and Nicolas Inn www.nicolasinn.com and enjoyed them both. Both are more expensive than the previously mentioned Hotel Panda but since you're willing to pay a bit more it might work.

If you are going for a week you will probably find you can get more for your money in that price range by renting an apartment. We found an inexpensive apartment in the ghetto area via realrome.com, and Tim Pearson was very pleasant to deal with.

The important thing is to book something quickly. I doubt any of these recommendations will still be available, except for something at cross-pollinate.com but you might get lucky.
