CJ: The Relais Buguois is, I think, what I called Maxim's...sorry, it keeps changing owners and names every few years. I'm not sure if it's still called Relais Buguois or not, but it's on the right-hand side between the bride and the Intermarché, across from La Pergola.

Hi,
We rented a place in St. Quintine the Pottery. It is near Uzes. This area is on the west side of the Rhone and technically not in Provence. Uzes is charming. It has tourist, but there are a lot of little towns near by to explore. You could explore the area west of Provence which has less tourist. Uzes is charming and worth exploring. St Quentine the Pottery is a little French town with a lot of charm and there are about 20 potters that live there and have their studios there, but there were tourist in this town also, but not many. Have fun!

MONS...west of GRASSE. It's a tiny hilltop village with views of the sea in the distance. No vehicles in town.

I have friends who own several buildings there and are restoring them for rentals. Some suites are ready.

I'm invited for a visit, not having been there (seen photos). Is anyone familiar with this village?

I passed through this village years ago. Narrow streets with lots of arches. I read (years later) the inhabitants atill conserve some Ligurian Italian words. The people of Mons were wiped outin the Black Death of 1348 and colonists from the area around Genoa and Ventimiglia were brought in to replace them.
