Jamikins: Not sure if the site linked above has the actual recommendations. If not, I am happy to provide them.
For the moment, I will just give the names, and if you do not find them on Michael's link above, I will return with the addresses and contact info. That's great! The above link is only in Italian from what I can see so any further info would be great!

You may enjoy this person's food tour of Bologna. This an older post but it was the first place that I heard about Trattoria Meloncello and why we'll be going to eat there in a couple of weeks:

I will be in Bologna for a few days the first week of July. I have the opportunity to attend the cooking school in the restaurant Trattoria del Rosso. Has anyone heard of or experienced this school or restaurant? Let me know your thoughts please! Can anyone recommend a place to stay in Bologna? Fun, not too expensive?
We had lunch at Meloncello after walking down the colonnades (2 km downhill) from San Luca. I had the best gnocchi I have ever tasted there!! They were like clouds, they were so light! It was so much food I had no room for anything else, but it was worth it.
Sooo excited - only one week to go!!
But can any of you beat my record?
Trip of one week with stops in Florence, Montepulciano, and Bologna. Number of pounds gained: 8. |
I am going to give you a run for your money hahaha!
Eks-- was this one of the no lunch trips? If so, I'm impressed.
No, this was when I was on 3 meals a day regimen! But still impressive, right? I was horrified, but not surprised! But you know, it was worth it...the food in Bologna set the bar so high. Quite incredible!
