Slovakia- Bratislava-day trip.

Heading to Bratislava for Bank Holiday weekend. We have two nights there. I notice that it is small.
Can we go anywhere for the day by public transport?
We fly into and out of Vienna and have a night there on the way back and so do not want to see any of Austria.
Thanks

Hi ... I lived in Bratislava... You could go to Devin castle...Esztergom Hungary by train... Transvaal by train, the wine towns ( perhaps Pezinok) also by train... What do you like.?... Hiking up above town to Slavin monument is nice.

Thank you -that information is most helpful. It seems that there is more to do there than I thought!

We loved living there Frances... But I do not want to over play it. It is a small city.

My single favorite thing to do is have coffee and cake first thing in the AM in old town square.

I just go to coffee and bagel.... And am always amazed how alone I am.
