slovakia and visa

Hi,

Does a Canadian Passport holder need a visa to enter Slovakia? We would like to visit Bratislava for a day or two from Vienna and not sure if we need a special travel visa.

Thanks.

Both Austria and Slovakia are Schengen member countries , no visa needed for a short visit.

Budapest is better

Of course Budapest and Prague is better but as a Slovakian I would recommend you to travel to some places mentioned on the website http://www.best-of-slovakia.eu

You don't need any visa here. If you need some help just contact me.

Thanks, Julo, for the website tip. My sister and I are considering a trip to Slovakia, where our grandmother immigrated from to the USA in the early 1900s.
